If I only knew what was wrong, or if there was any consistency between the crashes, I could fix it beyond just re-installing the entire OS. Many months spent trying to fix this & hours spent watching tutorials on youtube and reading forum posts on the microsoft forums & various other sites. Of course, do not expect much from it but adding some reflections, shadows, and eye candy to some games is certainly a nice touch.Yes, I have done sfc /scannow, and run many repair troubleshooters ect. Valve has been pushing stable updates to Steam Deck OS on an almost monthly basis, fixing issues and bringing new features, so hopefully, we will see a proper DXR ray tracing implementation soon as the RDNA 2 GPU certainly supports it.

According to the release notes, the latest Steam Deck 3.4.6 OS update includes Mesa 23.1 graphics driver update, adds support for Vulkan ray tracing in Doom Eternal game, and fixes several issues, including the focus issue with Forza Horizon 5, and graphical corruption issues in both Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty and Resident Evil 4.
